Donnamarie is offering her Abingdon Spirit Tour EVERY DAY OF The Virginia Highlands Festival: July 23-August 1, 7:30 pm Meet at Wolf Hills Coffee, 112 Court St. Abingdon, Virginia.

Meet at the Barter Fountain, across from the Barter Theatre.
At night Donnamarie Emmert is Abingdon’s Haint Mistress, telling tales of ghosts and spirits from long ago. By daylight the Abingdon native shares her knowledgeable about the town’s history, and her storytelling style will make the real historic figures come alive as visitors walk the brick streets of the historic downtown.

The Haint Mistress has been sharing the stories of the “haints” in Abingdon for over 20 years and has a masters degree in storytelling, an outrageous love for of all things Halloween-y and that go bump in the night, and a ferocious attraction to history. You’ll remember her stories for years to come.
Abingdon’s rich history predates the American Revolution, and Donnamarie, The Haint Mistress has uncovered the secrets, legends and ghost stories.
Walking tours will begin at Wolf Hills Coffee, unless otherwise requested
Tours are approximately 2 hours long.

This tour is decidedly not recommended for children under 10.
Due to the nature of Abingdon’s historic sidewalks, the tour is not recommended for wheeled conveyances (e.g. wheelchairs or prams).
